About LWV Ohio and LWVO Education Fund

For more than 96 years, the League of Women Voters ("The League") has been a leader in working to ensure that all citizens have a free role in making democracy work. The League:

  • Recruits and develops members
  • Provides support to 33 local Leagues across the state
  • Takes positions on public policy matters
  • Lobbies for policy changes
  • Encourages our grassroots members to lobby through action alerts
  • Collaborates with a number of citizen groups to influence elected officials

Every year, the League provides many voter services and educational projects, such as:

  • Voter registration drives
  • Publications and brochures
  • Nonpartisan candidate forums
  • On-line electronic voter information and candidate guides
  • Nonpartisan issue forums
  • Presentations on radio, television and to school groups
  • Advocacy for legislative positions we support or oppose

The League of Women Voters of Ohio Education Fund currently meets all standards for charitable accountability established by the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance (BBB/Central Ohio).
