Organization: The League of Women Voters Ohio is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. We were founded in 1920 to empower newly-enfranchised women to become informed and active voters. More than 100 years later, our members (women and men) across the country continue our mission to inform and empower voters to participate in their government.


Job Status: Internship; small stipend provided for undergraduate/graduate students. Work is remote until further notice. 


Work Schedule: Approx. 10 hrs/wk.


Position Overview and Job Duties: An internship at the League of Women Voters will afford you the opportunity to gain skills in public policy, advocacy, communications, marketing, and more. You will gain hands on experience through assistance with:


  • creating voter outreach material for young voters;

  • tracking state-level legislation as they pertain to League priorities;

  • tracking media coverage of the League;

  • creating social media content and graphics;

  • maintaining membership and donors lists;

  • and other related administrative duties, as needed.
