KEY DATES FOR VOTING IN 2024
2024 GENERAL ELECTION | November 5, 2024​

Military & Overseas Absentee Voting: Begins September 20, 2024

Deadline to Register to Vote for the General Election: October 7, 2024 (Boards open until 9pm)

Early In-Person Voting: Begins October 8, 2024, and includes the two Saturdays and two Sundays before Election Day (but NOT the Monday before Election Day)

Absentee Voting By Mail: Begins October 8, 2024

Deadline for absentee ballot applications to be received by county Boards of Elections: October 29, 2024

Deadline to postmark your mail ballot: November 4, 2024 (this means the USPS mark your mail-in ballot envelope- if you still have your ballot, take it inside the Post Office for them to postmark it)

Election Day: November 5, 2024 (Polls Open 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 pm)

Deadline for mail ballots to be personally hand-delivered to your County Board of Elections: November 5, 2024, 7:30 PM (close of polls).

Deadline to 'cure' your provisional ballot if you didn't have your ID when voting: November 9 at your Board of Elections, and you must bring the required ID (if you voted on a provisional ballot for other reasons, check with your Board of Elections to see if you need to do anything else)

Deadline for boards to receive mail-ballots that have been postmarked on or before November 4: November 9, 2024
